This project was part of the Designing Craft, Crafting Design exhibition. A group of designers from the Royal College of Art teamed up with the fantastically skilled craftspeople of the Bregenzerwald region of Austria to showcase what craft is in 2017.
I worked with Jodok Felder, a fantastic metal worker who had a playful outlook. The family business crafted traditional cheese making equipment, but Jodok has used those skills to have fun, making huge steel swimming pools and hot tubs.
My planter looks to reflect that playfulness as well as the nature around Andelsbucht.
Exhibited as part of Vienna Design Week, and also at the MKG in Hamburg.
